AASC Young Adult Retreat 2025
Building New Connections

Join us for an outing designed specifically for young adults transracially adopted from Asia. This three-day, two-night retreat provides a nurturing environment where you can connect with others who share similar journeys. We offer a fun and supportive space to explore the unique challenges and experiences of being a transracial adoptee. Whether you’re seeking understanding, community, or simply a place to share your story, this retreat is for you. Together, we will create a safe and supportive atmosphere that celebrates our diverse experiences and empowers each participant to thrive.

1
Group OUting
During the retreat, we plan a group outing aimed at giving everyone a chance to spend time with each other in a more structured environment, while doing a fun activity together.
In the past years, we have gone skiing, snowboarding, and tubing!
2
Discussion
Throughout the retreat, we will facilitate discussions that delve into topics such as identity, culture, adoption, career and life mentorship. Our goal is to foster an open dialogue where your thoughts and feelings can be freely expressed. We encourage attendees to shape the conversation, ensuring that we address the topics that matter most to you.
3
Bonding
In addition to meaningful discussions, the retreat will include casual group activities designed to create lasting connections. These activities will provide opportunities to have fun, make memories, and deepen relationships in a welcoming environment.

Our 2025 YA Retreat
Our most recent YA Retreat took place in January of 2025 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Throughout the weekend, we cooked together, made friendship bracelets, held productive discussions, and went skiing and snowboarding - many of us for the first time!
